Sir David Chipperfield born in 1953 in London, studied at Kingston School of Art and the Architectural Association in London. After graduating he worked at the practices of Douglas Stephen, Richard Rogers and Norman Foster. David Chipperfield Architects was established in 1984 and won numerous national and international competitions and many international awards and citations for design excellence, including RIBA and AIA awards and the Stirling Prize. The interpretation of the Moka pot for Alessi envisioned by chipperfield retains the character of the traditional espresso maker, with only the most subtle of design interventions applied.
Since graduating in 2009 from the Royal College of Art, Bethan Laura Wood has built a multidisciplinary practice characterized by material investigation, artisan collaboration, and a passion for detail. To mark the Bauhaus anniversary, the British designer came up with the limited edition Tong tea set, which is inspired by the shape of the handle of the Rosenthal’s iconic TAC teapot. This collection is very innovative as no-one has mixed color in one piece like this – it involves a very complicated production process.”

Editor of the Design Year Book 1999 with a passion for the history of design, Morrison designs for Cappellini, Vitra, Alessi, Flos, Rosenthal and Sony. The Iittala ‘Raami’ dining collection creates inviting and informal settings. It does so with a focus on the essentials – a common theme of Morrison’s work. Designed with great attention to detail, the forms evoke a sense of familiarity and comfort whilst a closer look reveals the finer characteristics.
